Sennheiser CX plus True Wireless Earbuds

It was not a long while ago that Sennheiser launched its first true wireless earbud. The new Sennheiser CX plus True Wireless Earbuds has been garnering much attention, and Sennheiser is aware of this. They have revealed the product to the world on September 13th, but its availability in the local stores is only from September 29th, 2021.

What’s new in CX plus True wireless?

The stand-out feature in the new version is the Active Noise Cancellation ( ANC). ANC is still available with Sennheiser‘s flagship product, ‘ Momentum True Wireless – 2,’ but the cost is $300.00. The new product is priced at $ 179 .00 thus creating a huge gap in pricing.

The new wireless buds are available in two colors only, namely Black or white. They are slightly large compared to normal earbuds, but they snuggle into your ears quite comfortably. You cannot shake off the lightweight earbuds easily, though. They hang on tight even if you are running down a street with your head shaking all the time.

The wireless buds are secured with IPX4 technology, making them completely water-resistant and sweat generated.

The pairing between the buds and the device is accomplished via Bluetooth, and both the buds are activated simultaneously. If you still wish to know which the ‘master’ bud is, you can place it in the box and release it one by one to know that.

It has its codecs as the buds support all four of them. They are the

  • AptX
  • SBC
  • AAC
  • AptX Adaptive.

These codecs allow you to control the earbuds with the touch or tapping of your fingers. Functions get activated depending upon the one, two, or triple touch.

The EQ system can also be customized with both earbuds in either ear, functioning independently. In case you wish to hold the music, removing one bud alone can pause it. The unique feature of independent working between the two buds is an innovation over the Momentum 2, allowing only the bud on the right to work.

Sennheiser claims that the battery would last a full 24 hours of usage compared to the previous CX, which lasted 27, and the Momentum 2 for 28. One can safely assume that the new features like ANC and the Transparent Hearing Mode are bound to drain it more. We have to also wait to check on the battery’s longevity in each earbud once it is released from the charging box with USB provisions. One can only wish for a wireless charging box from them in the future.

The ANC does block all the external noises, thus delivering wonderful clarity to the user’s ears.CX plus True Wireless Earbuds has another feature called the Transparent Hearing Mode, which helps you focus on all those external noises, making it a 2 in 1feature.

Conclusion:

The clarity is further enhanced in the new CX plus True Wireless Earbuds as Qualcomm Snapdragon is introduced. Sennheiser is a win-win situation even though the price is higher by $50.00, and you get most of the features available on their expensive flagship product, Momentum True Wireless 2!
