Software performs read-only scan of the disk and do not make any modifications to the damaged partition, data and disk. It will perform the complete scan of the damaged hard drive or partition to locate and retreive the lost and inaccessible data. After the complete scanning the data found in the damaged disk is displayed in a standard windows explorer style, so that you can easily copy your recovered folders and files to a working disk.

There are two types of scan in the software : Standard Scan and Advance Scan. Standard Scan is a quick method of recovery. You can use this mode to recover recently deleted files, deleted partitions or corrupted ntfs partitions. If there are no partitions than Kernel Recovery for FAT & NTFS makes a quick search for the lost and deleted partitions. Please note that Standard Scan can not recover the data from formatted drives. You would need to use Advance Scan to recover data from formatted partitions or excessive damages. Advance scan is more robust method of data recovery. This method is useful to recover the data if the parttion is formatted, files were deleted long ago, some folders and files are missing in Standard Scan results or OS was reloaded after formatting the hard drive. If Standard Scan fails to recover the data, than use the Advance Scan. Advance Scan takes more time as compared to Standard Scan but it will recover the data if any traces of it are left in the disk.
