Red-Eye Removal Add-on™ for Graphics Mill™ is a unique tool that allows to get rid of red-eye effect quickly and easily. Thanks to proprietary algorithms, it identifies red-eyed pupils on a photo and removes the red-eye effect. Red-Eye Removal Add-on is included into both Pro and Standard editions of Graphics Mill.

Red-eye effect appears when the flash reflects from the retina, especially in case of light lack when pupils are dilated. Red-Eye Removal Add-on™ fights this undesirable effect.

There are two modes the tool can function in:

• Manual mode - a user selects facial region and points out spots with red-eye effect;
• Semi-automatic mode - a user selects facial region and the tool searches for red-eyes automatically.

The most important feature of Red-Eye Removal Add-on™ is that it analyses facial features. That means it recognizes and classifies the facial features and ignores those that are the least possible to be red-eyed. This algorithm prevents from color changes in other places of an image.

In addition to red-eye removal, the add-on can also return coordinates of the area which has been processed. In particular, it enables you to create JPEG-optimized red-eye removal (i.e. your application will be able to recompress only red-eyed area and keep all the rest JPEG untouched).
