Columban Monks

The Book of Kells is an illuminated or decorated manuscript of the four Gospels. It was created by Columban monks around 800 AD. Its calligraphy and artwork have earned it a reputation as the most beautiful book in the world.

The Swopper game is very old. It was created by the Tibetan monks and was a part of a complex ritual ceremony. In Europe the game appeared in the XVIII century at the French court and became popular among the grandees soon.
