The main program purpose is workstations monitoring with customizable reactions to certain events. There is periodical event checking with reacting to event occurence. Each workstation can have unlimited events and each event can have unlimited reactions.
There are following event types:
- Occurence or loss of ping replies
- Occurence or loss of reply to TCP connection on certain port
- Occurence or loss of certain text in TCP response (e.g. HTTP)
- URL update
Reaction types:
- Email message
- Net Send message
- Application execution
- Sending data to Web page (HTTP POST request)
There are predefined macros that can be used in reaction text: event date and time, event and workstation information.
Application can work as NT service or as console window. Application checks events every period of time and executes reactions if event has occured. Net Events can be configured from local machine or remotely.
Net Events writes information about occured events and errors into log file that is available in configuration utility.
